PURPOSE: A user authentication system using a personal identification number, user terminal apparatus, searching apparatus, authentication server, and method thereof are provided to improve the safety in offline transactions by authenticating users through personal identification numbers issued to a user who is previously authenticated.;CONSTITUTION: A user terminal apparatus(110) displays and stores personal identification numbers issued by an authentication server(120). The user terminal apparatus registers standard information for authenticating the validity of the personal identification numbers. An inquiry apparatus(130) displays and receives authentication results by requesting for authenticating the validity of the personal identification number on the authentication server.
