PURPOSE: A stop urgency evaluation system of a nuclear power plant utilizing a stop pattern database and method thereof are provided to improve the reliability of evaluation results by comparing a stop cause analysis determination standard with an objective standard. CONSTITUTION: A stop pattern database(110) stores stop pattern data according to accident scenario of a nuclear power plant. A stop pattern acquisition unit(120) searches the stop pattern data of a type in the stop pattern database. The stop pattern data matches with an operation variable data pattern measured in the nuclear power plant. The stop pattern acquisition unit acquires a stop pattern by using the searched stop pattern data and operating variable data. An operating information output unit(130) outputs the operating stop information of the nuclear power plant corresponding to the acquired stop pattern.
