PURPOSE: A hybrid gas metal arc welding method for a horizontal butt joint is provided to obtain high-quality welding without welding defects by minimizing deep penetration and drooping of beads.;CONSTITUTION: A hybrid gas metal arc welding method for a horizontal butt joint comprises a step of performing linear welding using a solid wire through GMAW(Gas Metal Arc Welding) with deep penetration and high deposition rate in a gap of joint and a step of performing three-dimensional electrode welding at the surface of the gap. The three-dimensional electrode welding employs CMT(Cold Metal Transfer Welding) using a solid wire to reduce the number of passes without drooping of beads.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
