PURPOSE: A liquid medium composition for proliferation of sweet-potato plantlets is provided to enhance rooting and growth and to save cultivation time and cost. CONSTITUTION: A liquid medium composition for proliferation of sweet-potato plantlets contains 20,000-40,000 mg/L of sucrose, 1,800-2,000 mg/L of KNO_3, 1,500-1,800 mg/L of NH_4NO_3, 400-500 mg/L of CaCl_2, 2H_20, 300-400 mg/L of 7H_20, and 100-200 mg/L of KH_2PO_4. The composition further contains inositol, MnSO_4,4H_20, FeSO_4,7H_20, Na_2-EDTA, ZnSO_4,7H_20, H_3BO_3, KI, Na_2MoO_4, 2H_20, CuSO_4, 5H_20, CoCl_2, 6H_2O, nitotinic acid, thiamine, pyridoxine, or glycine. A method for proliferation of the sweet-potato plantlets comprises a step of culturing the sweet-potato plantlets in the liquid medium.
