PURPOSE: A synthesis of superhydrophobic copolymer and applications thereof are provided to improve water repellency during surface coating and to have high solubility with carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION: A synthesis of superhydrophobic copolymer is represented by chemical formula (I). The synthesis of superhydrophobic copolymer includes a step of random copolymerizing monomer mixture which is represented by chemical formula (III) and (IV) under presence of a polymerization initiator. In the chemical formulas, R^1 indicates COO (CH2) m- Si (OSi(CH3)3) 3, COO(CH2)n(CF2)o-CF3, or phenyl. R^2 indicates hydrogen or C1-3 alkyl, and R^3 indicates hydrogen, C1-3 alkyl, or oxyranyle(1-3 alkyl). R^4 indicates hydrogen or C1-3 alkyl, x indicates 1-10000, y indicates 1-10000, n indicates 1-4, m indicates 1-4, and o indicates 0-13.
