PURPOSE: A gamma-ray detector using a multiple scintillation crystal and a positron emission tomography using the same are provided to improve spatial resolution by checking detailed gamma-ray position information.;CONSTITUTION: An optical sensor(110) changes a flashing light signal of a multiple scintillation crystal(100) into an electrical signal. An amplifier(120) easily amplifies an output signal of the optical sensor. An A-D converter(130) checks reaction energy, reaction time, and a reaction site by changing an output signal of the amplifier into a digital signal. A location information determination unit(140) checks each flashing light signal waveform for each multiple scintillation crystal by processing the digital signal with the A-D converter. The location information determination unit checks location information of entered gamma-rays.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
