METHOD FOR CLASSIFYING TEA PLANTS OF HIGH THEANINE CONTENTS CAPABLE OF CLASSIFYING INDIVIDUALS WITH HIGH THEANINE CONTENTS BY APPLYING A CHEMICAL COLOR-DEVELOPING REACTION

PURPOSE: A method for classifying tea plants of high theanine contents is provided to contribute the breeding growth of tea plants by shortening the breeding period of the tea plants.;CONSTITUTION: A method for classifying tea plants of high theanine contents includes the following: extracts from theaceae plants are mixed with a ninhydrin reactive solution; the mixed solution is dropped on a thin layer chromatography plate or a piece of filtering paper to confirm a color reaction; and a theaceae plant providing an extract with a dark color is classified according to the color reaction. A method for manufacturing the extracts includes the following: the theaceae plants are pulverized and boiled to obtain the extracts; and the extracts are filtered through the filtering paper.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
