PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an organic-inorganic complex hybrid absorbent and a method for using the absorbent for water treatment are provided to effectively eliminate the minute amount of contaminants and natural organic materials from water.;CONSTITUTION: Absorbent includes porous absorbent and ferrihydrite, goethite, hematite, and magnetite impregnated in the porous absorbent. The porous absorbent is one or more selected from powdered activated carbon, zeolite, and alumina. A method for manufacturing the absorbent includes the following: the porous absorbent is impregnated in a tri-valent iron ion-based solution; the porous absorbent is separated from the solution and is washed; the porous absorbent is exposed to an alkali solution to form precipitates in pores; the absorbent is thermally treated, washed, and dried.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
