PURPOSE: An actuator which can be actuated electromagnetically for an adjustable damping valve of a vibration damper is provided to include an armature with a conducting profile by including two or more passage areas with different cross sections in an actuator sleeve.;CONSTITUTION: A magnetically conductive actuator sleeve(37) is fixed to an actuator including a coil(33) with a magnetic field. The magnetic field passes from the actuator sleeve to an axially movable armature(43). The magnetic field passes axially in the area of a pole plane from the armature. The actuator sleeve for the magnetic flux of the coil includes two or more passage areas with different cross sections for receiving the armature with a conducting profile.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
