PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent lowering of color features due to materials which do not react to a photo-hardening agent.;CONSTITUTION: A color filter layer and a light blocking layer(220) are formed on a first substrate(210). A first alignment film(35) is made of a compound or a mixture which includes a photo hardening agent. A second alignment film is formed on a second substrate(110). A liquid crystal molecular layer is located on the first alignment film and the second alignment film. An initial slope angle of the liquid crystal molecular layer is controlled by photopolymerization coupling of the photo hardening agent of the first alignment film.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
