PURPOSE: A sol-gel transition chitosan-polymer composite is provided to have a temperature and pH sensitive sol-gel transition in aqueous medium through a process accepting hydrophobic polypeptide between poly(ethylene glycol and chitosan.;CONSTITUTION: A sol-gel transition chitosan-polymer comprises hydrophobic polypeptide block which is combined between poly(ethylene glycol) block and chitosan. A molecular weight of the poly(ethylene glycol) is 300-5,000 Dalton, the molecular weight of the hydrophobic polypeptide is 300-10,000 Dalton, the molecular weight of the chitosan is 1,000-1,000,000 Dalton, and the molecular weight of the chitosan-polymer composite is 8,000-2,000,000 Dalton. The content of the hydrophobic polypeptide, the poly(ethylene glycol), and the chitosan is respectively 10-60 weight%, 10-60 weight%, and 20-80 weight%.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
