PURPOSE: A group of coupling devices, an inspection gauge, and a method for controlling a selection of a length of the inspection gauge are provided to enhance the accuracy of a gauge to systematically exclude a coupling device being not properly installed.;CONSTITUTION: A group of coupling devices comprises two joining elements(101). Each coupling element comprises a head, a flat body, and a shaped end part. The front surface(106) of the shaped end part comprises a cavity(107) being extended to a bottom parallel to a first axis(102) and the coupling elements have same shaped average outer diameters. The coupling elements have a various maximum grip units corresponding to a length of the float body spread along the first axis in between a restriction unit and the head. The restriction unit is arranged between the flat body and shaped end part.
