PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing CO powder using a slurry reduction method with excellent reaction speed is provided to manufacture CO powder having 1- 10m of mean diameter and excellent reaction speed by properly controlling the types of CO salt, reaction time, reaction temperature, and the concentration of reducing agent with increased concentration of NaOH. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing CO powder using a slurry reduction method with excellent reaction speed is as follows. CO salt and NaOH are dissolved in solvent at the weight ratio of 1 : 8 - 1 : 24 to form Co(OH)2 slurry(S110). The Co(OH)2 slurry is fed in a reaction container(S120). The slurry fed in the reaction container is agitated while heating(S130). After reducing agent is supplied to the agitated Co(OH)2 slurry, the Co(OH)2 slurry is reduced to obtain CO powder(S140).
