PURPOSE: A therapeutic agent for treating hepatitis type C containing quercetin derivatives and a compound thereof is provided to suppress the activation of hepatitis C virus helicase and RNA replicase.;CONSTITUTION: A quercetin derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. A pharmaceutical composition contains the compound of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. The composition prevents or treats hepatitis type C. A method for preparing the compound of chemical formula 1 comprises: a step of adding acetic anhydride to a solution in which quercetin is dissolved in pyridine to synthesize 2-(3,4-diacetoxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromene-3,5,7-triyltriacetate; a step of adding 2-(3,4-diacetoxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromene-3,5,7-triyltriacetate in a solution containing imidazole dissolved in a mixture of N-methylpyperidine(NMP) and thiophenol to prepare 4-(3,5-diacetoxy-7-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-chromene-2-yl)-1,2-phenylene diacetate; and a step of adding arylmethylbromide to a mixture containing 4-(3,5-diacetoxy-7-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-chromene-2-yl)-1,2-phenylene diacetate and potassium carbonate dissolved in acetone.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
