PURPOSE: Cicada larvae bred by using campanulaceae plants, and a breeding method thereof are provided to use the cicada larvae fed with the campanulaceae plants as medical ingredients. CONSTITUTION: A breeding method of cicada larvae using campanulaceae plants comprises the following steps: preparing a plant cultivation area including bellflowers; inserting beetles or protaetia brevitarsis seulensis into the plant cultivation area; and breeding the cicada larvae using the campanulaceae plants infected with root rot. The plant cultivation area includes materials having high palatability to the beetles or protaetia brevitarsis seulensis. The materials include oak sawdust, straws, compost, rice hulls, bellflower roots, fruits, or other organic waste containing cellulose.
