摘要

PURPOSE: A microstrip patch antenna and an operation method thereof including a plat type meta material are provided to control the length of an inter-digital capacitor by inserting a meta material unit cell structure to a microstrip patch antenna. CONSTITUTION: A conductor patch(120) is formed in an upper side of a dielectric substrate. The conductor patch includes a feeding line(110) and an inter-digital capacitor(130). The patch controls an electric size of an antenna by controlling the length of an inter-digital capacitor. The capacitance of an antenna increases according to the increase of the inter-digital capacitor. The size of the patch is controlled for the impedance matching of the antenna. An operation frequency of the antenna is converted by controlling the size of the patch.
