PURPOSE: A recombinant microorganism with (lactate-co-glycolate) copolymer productivity from glucose is provided to prepare the copolymers with high glycolate fraction concentration. CONSTITUTION: A recombinant microorganism with (lactate-co-glycolate) copolymer productivity contains a gene encoding polyhydroxyalkanoate(PHA) synthase, a gene encoding propionyl-CoA transferase, and a gene encoding glycerate dehydrogenase(EC 1.1.1.26). A gene coding mutant PHA synthase has a base sequence corresponding to E130D, S325T, L412M, S477R, S477H, S477F, S477Y, S477G, Q481M, Q481K or Q481R mutation in an amino acid of sequence number 1.
