LASER WELDING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF SMOOTH SHIELD GAS SUPPLY AND FUME REMOVAL IN SCAN-TYPE LASER WELDING

PURPOSE: A laser welding apparatus is provided to protect a welded portion with inactive gas and smoothly discharge fume and inactive gas through an exhaust block by spraying inactive gas through a spray port of a gas spray block in scan-type laser welding.;CONSTITUTION: A laser welding apparatus comprises a gas spray block(10), an exhaust block(20), a laser protection glass(30), and a laser head(40). The gas spray block sprays inactive gas to a welded portion of a work piece. The exhaust block is installed above the gas spray block and discharges fume and inactive gas produced during welding. The laser protection glass is installed above the exhaust block. The laser head is arranged above the laser protection glass and irradiates the welded portion with a laser beam. The gas spray block includes a chamber formed on the outer periphery of a first space letting a laser beam through, a gas inlet(13) connecting the chamber to outside for drawing in inactive gas, and a spray port(14) connecting the chamber to the first space to spray the inactive gas to the welded portion.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
