PURPOSE: An SNP primer for screening Gumpoong and Chungsun of Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer is provided to quickly and accurately select the breed of Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer. CONSTITUTION: An SNP primer for screening Gumpoong and Chungsun of Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer is designed to amplify a polynucleotide in which 748th nucleotide is G instead of K. The SNP primer contains a base of sequence number 4 or 5. A kit for screening Gumpoong and Chungsun of Panax ginseng C.A.Meye contains the SNP primer. A method for screening Gumpoong and Chungsun of Panax ginseng C.A.Meye comprises a step of extracting DNA from a sample; and a step of identifying the presence of G corresponding to 748th nucleotide; and a step of determining Gumpoong and Chungsun when the SNP base is G.
