PURPOSE: An event message transceiving method and a system thereof are provided to register phone book data stored in a terminal of a user in a server and to transmit an event message based on the registered phone book data.;CONSTITUTION: An event message service server(200) searches for a receiving terminal included in phone book data of a transmitting terminal. At least one receiving terminal includes caller information in phonebook data. The event message service server transmits an event message to the receiving terminal. The receiving terminal receives the event message transmitted from the event message service server.
