PURPOSE: A device and method for diagnosing a prostate cancer using a fractal dimension value are provided to supply an objective diagnosis result about a biopsy and reduce the diagnosis time of a prostate cancer.;CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor laser unit irradiates excitation laser beams. An endoscope(150) receives auto-fluorescence from a bioptic tissue. An optical unit(120) receives the auto-fluorescence from the endoscope. A detecting unit(130) detects the intensity of the auto-fluorescence dependent on time.
