METHOD FOR ENHANCING THE PRECISION OF FLUID FLOW MEASUREMENT THROUGH PARTICLE IMAGE VELOCIMETRY BY REDUCING REFLECTED LIGHT OF THE SURFACE OF AN OBJECT USING FLUORESCENT MATERIAL COATING
PURPOSE: A method for enhancing the precision of fluid flow measurement is provided to obtain high levels of velocity field information by blocking light reflected from the surface of an object.;CONSTITUTION: A light source emits light of single wavelength which illuminates a particle. A fluorescent material which is coated on the surface of the object in around the particle absorbs the light of the single wavelength emitted from the light source. The fluorescent material absorbs the light of the single wavelength emitted from the light source and emits light of wavelength higher than the light of single wavelength.
