Application of imaging analysis methods for elastographic data of cervix to evaluate the condition of uterine cervix in pregnant women

PURPOSE: An image analysis application relative to elastographic images of uterine cervix for evaluating the condition of the uterine cervix of pregnant women is provided to obtain objective numerical data by performing elastography. CONSTITUTION: Transvaginal ultrasonography forms an image of uterine cervix. An elastographic image is prepared in a dual mode. An area of the uterine cervix is selected from the dual mode image. The selected area is overlapped on the elastographic image. The selected elastographic image is analyzed.
