rpoB gene fragments and method for the diagnosis and identification of Nocardia genus

PURPOSE: A method for identifying Nocardia genus using rpoB gene fragment is provided to cheaply and accurately identify Nocardia genus. CONSTITUTION: A rpoB gene fragment contains one or base sequences of sequence numbers 1-17. A primer for selective amplification of a part of rpoB gene in Nocardia genus is denoted by sequence number 18 or 19. A detection kit for Nocardia genus contains the primer. A method for determining Nocardia genus comprises: a step of amplifying a part of rpoB gene of Nocardia genus to prepare a rpoB gene fragment; a step of analyzing base a sequence of the gene fragment; and a step of comparing the base sequence of the fragment with sequence of sequence number 1-17.
