PURPOSE: A hair cosmetic composition containing medicinal herb extract is provided to supply nutrient to scalp and to prevent dandruff and excessive sebum generation. CONSTITUTION: A hair cosmetic composition for preventing alopecia and promoting hair growth contains complex crude drug extract which is prepared by hot water of a mixture of Thuja orientalis L., Sophora flavescens Solander ex Aiton, Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, Mentha arvensis L., Eclipta prostrata L., and Magnolia officinalis Rehd. et Wils. The composition contains 10.0-35.0 wt% based on the total composition.
