PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring a convective heat-transfer coefficient of nano-fluid are provided to save time and cost to be consumed for manufacturing sample since the moving speed of a heat-ray sensor in the fluid is accurately controlled. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for measuring a convective heat-transfer coefficient of nano-fluid comprises a sensor unit(110), a transfer unit(120) and a liquid container(130). The transfer unit is formed on the upper side of the sensor unit. The transfer unit makes the sensor unit reciprocate in a longitudinal direction in a state of being separated from the ground surface. The liquid container is located in a state of being separated from the lower part of the sensor unit. The liquid container holds nano-fluid or basic fluid for measuring a convective heat-transfer coefficient. The sensor unit comprises a cylindrical heat-ray sensor, which is formed from metallic heat-ray.
