Method for screening of plant metabolism-associated mutants using FT-IR metabolic profile and mutivariate analysis

PURPOSE: A method for selecting metabolism-related plant mutant is provided to quickly select plant mutant and to use as gene function prediction system. CONSTITUTION: A method for selecting metabolism-related plant mutant comprises: a step of culturing plant mutant in a specific medium and freeze-drying; a step of extracting the freeze-dried plant with a solvent to obtain an extract; a step of obtaining FT-IR(Fourier-transform infrared) spectrum profile using the extract; a step of performing multivariate analysis using the FT-IR spectrum profile; and a step of comparing the analysis result with known analysis result to identify specific metabolism mutant.
