APPARATUS FOR TREATING ENDOCRINE DISRUPTING CHEMICALS USING NONTHERMAL PLASMA DISCHARG

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for treating endocrine disrupting chemical using non-thermal plasma discharge are provided to minimize power consumption required for treating the endocrine disrupting chemical and to simplify the structure of the apparatus by omitting a separate ultraviolet ray-based lamp. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for treating endocrine disrupting chemical includes a discharging electrode(100) and a grounding electrode(200). The discharging electrode is spaced apart from the surface of water to be treated. The grounding electrode is in connection with the water to be treated in order to ground the water to be treated. Plasma is generated between the discharging electrode and the surface of the water to be treated and generates chemically active species. The chemically active species and ultraviolet ray eliminate the endocrine disrupting chemical. The apparatus further includes a bypass part(300) with a plurality of bubble nozzles. The bubble nozzles supply bubbles containing the chemically active species.
