PURPOSE: An optimal voltage control device and method of a distributed power interconnection line is provided to maintain customer voltage within reference voltage by changing the size of transmission voltage according to the size of load change and compensating voltage change. CONSTITUTION: A ULTC(Under Load Tap Changer) measures a current and voltage. Transmission voltage is calculated by using line equivalent impedance and load center point voltage. A voltage adjustment element which is necessary for transmitting optimal transmission voltage is calculated. The optimal transmission voltage is transmitted by controlling a tab for transmission voltage control by using the voltage adjustment element.
