METHOD FOR DESIGNING BASIC INSULATION LEVEL OF SMOOTHING REACTOR IN HVDC SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for designing insulation level of dc reactor in HVDC(High Voltage Direct Current) transmission system is provided to reduce time for designing. CONSTITUTION: A circuit with a DC reactor of HVDC transmission system, a three phase transformer, and a lightening arrester(S510). The size of the equivalent reactance of the 3 three transformer is acquired from the circuit(S520). An insulation level of the lightening arrester is calculated from the circuit(S530). An insulation level of both ends of the DC reactor is calculated by the size of the equivalent reactance and the insulation level of the lightening(S540).
