PURPOSE: A tailings stabilization method by forming a solidified layer is provided to prevent the loss and scatter of tailings, and the pollution of rivers and soils by acid leachate discharged from tailings. CONSTITUTION: A tailings stabilization method by forming a solidified layer comprises the steps of: forming a solidified layer on the upper part of a tailings layer by mixing calcium supply sources, silicate supply sources and tailings, and then piling and solidifying on a tailings yard(S10,S20); and forming a cover layer by piling soils on the solidified layer(S30,S40).
