PURPOSE: A system and a method for evaluating the condition of a bridge slab are provided to precisely measure the condition of a bridge slab without real arrangement of bar on site.;CONSTITUTION: A system and a method for evaluating the condition of a bridge slab comprises an electromagnetic wave transceiver(10), a bar depth data generating unit(20), an amplitude data extracting unit(30), a data storage unit(40), a data correcting unit(50), and a deterioration determining unit(60). The electromagnetic wave transceiver emits electromagnetic wave to the concrete structure of a bridge and receives the electromagnetic wave. The bar depth data generating unit measures the transmission time of the electromagnetic wave emitted by the electromagnetic wave transceiver. The amplitude data extracting unit extracts data about amplitude value change of the electromagnetic wave received by the electromagnetic wave transceiver. The data storage unit stores data about the amplitude reduction of the electromagnetic wave on the concrete medium. The data correcting unit corrects the amplitude value of the electromagnetic wave.
