Provided is a vacuum cleaner for both the wet and dry cleaning capable of allowing user to easily install and remove a damp floorcloth without separate operation by separating the damp floorcloth mounted on the lower end of an intake nozzle body from one side one by one. A vacuum cleaner for both the wet and dry cleaning comprises: a base(15) having a dust intake port; a run plate installed to move up and down on the upper unit surface of the base, and formed with an adherence unit(143) projected at the lower surface so as to mount a damp floorcloth and a guide rib(141) projected by predetermined size at the upper side; an escalating member installed to guide the lift of the run plate, formed with an escalating end(133) extended by the predetermined length at the end unit so as to fit in the guide rib; and a housing(12) formed with the escalating member rotatably installed at the lower surface, and combined to the base.
