PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing metal composite powder using gas spraying and metal composite powder manufactured thereby are provided to enhance the tension strength and abrasion resistance by uniform distribution of strengthened particle and greatly enhance non-abrasive rate by extruding the metal composite powder and manufacturing samples. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing metal composite powder using gas spraying comprises next steps. Al-Si alloy containing strengthened particle is heated and melted to manufacture molten metal. Metal ingot or alloy ingot is added and stirred to the manufactured molten metal, and thus mixed molten metal is manufactured. The manufactured mixed molten metal is sprayed with gas to manufacture metal composite powder. The strengthened particle is SicC, A1N or TiC. Melting temperature is within a range of 550~600C. The metal ingot includes Al, Ti or Cu. The alloy ingot includes Al-Si alloy, Al-Cu alloy or Al-Fe alloy.
