PURPOSE: A reinforcing bar coupler is provided to reduce manufacturing and construction costs by fixing reinforcing bars using a minimum amount of fasteners.;CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing bar coupler comprises a coupler base(110), first and second covers(120,130), and first and second fasteners. First and second reinforcing bar insertion grooves(113,114) are formed in both sides of the coupler base, and first and second reinforcing bars are inserted into the reinforcing bar insertion grooves. The first and second covers are fixed to the coupler base and bind the first and second reinforcing bars inserted into the coupler base. The first and second fasteners are coupled to the coupler base and the first and second covers and fasten the first and second covers to the coupler base.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
