Method and apparatus for the interface of auto-configured plug-and-play sensor module

PURPOSE: An automatic recognition/configuration PnP(Plug and Play) sensor module interface device and a method thereof are provided to automatically control output voltage and mapping of a sensor appropriately for the connected sensor module without additional configuration by a user. CONSTITUTION: A sensor module includes a digital circuit unit with a sensor and a sensor circuit, an analog circuit unit, and a connection unit. A main control board(200) includes a power supply unit providing power to the sensor module, a control unit(202), an analog multiplexer(204) providing power to the sensor, and a connection uit(210). When the sensor module is connected to the main control board, the board automatically recognizes the sensor type to automatically control output volage and mapping.
