A remote controller for transmitting remote control signals corresponding to motions is provided to increase the convenience of users by previously storing desired motions and corresponding key values and controlling an external electronic device according to the stored motions. A remote controller for transmitting remote control signals corresponding to motions comprises a detection part(110), a keypad part(120), a storage part(130), a control part(140), and a remote control signal output part(150). The detection part(110) detects motion of the remote controller. The keypad part(120) comprises various keys to control an external electronic device. The storage part(130) stores information about preset motions and corresponding key values. The remote control signal output part(150), if a motion is detected from the detection part(110), extracts a key value corresponding to the detected motion from the storage part(130), and then transmits it to the external electronic device as a remote control signal.
