APPARATUS FOR GENERATING COMPRESSION FILE USING LOSSLESS DATA COMPRESSION ALGORISM AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating a compression file using a lossless data compression algorism and a method thereof are provided to determine whether a compression process is progressed or stopped during compression by identifying incompressible data in real time. CONSTITUTION: An input module(10) stores a multimedia file for compression, a compressed file, or all kinds of programs or document files. An output module(14) stores a plurality of compressed output files. A compression module(12) compresses an input file inputted from the input module with a compression algorithm. The compression module repetitively performs a process of storing the compressed data in the output module into an output file. A determination module(20) determines the size of the input file inputted into the compression module and a compression ratio of the output file outputted from the compression module to the output module. A non compression module(30) stores a file of the input module without passing through the determination module according to the determination result of the determination module.
