PURPOSE: A mullite synthetic method using agalmatolite is provided to control a weight ratio of SiO2 to Al2O3 and synthesize mullite having high purity in which vitreous is minimized. CONSTITUTION: A mullite synthetic method using agalmatolite comprises the following steps: measuring agalmatolite and alumina powder; forming agalmatolite slurry by wet grinding the agalmatolite; forming alumina slurry by wet grinding the alumina powder; mixing the agalmatolite slurry and alumina-based slurry; dehydrating a slurry mixture including the agalmatolite slurry and the alumina-based slurry by using a filter press; discharging and drying using a vacuum extruder; and sintering the mixed powder including the talc powder and alumina powder at 1700-1900 deg. Celsius after the drying step. In the measurement step, the weight ratio of SiO2 to Al2O3 is 71:29-72:28.
