PURPOSE: A composition containing Sumac extract is provided to prevent influenza virus infection and to effectively remove influenza virus in the air. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing influenza virus infection contains Sumac extract as an active ingredient. The composition additionally contains ginkgo extract. The Sumac extract is isolated using water, ethanol, methanol, butanol, n-hexane, n-heptan, DMSO, or mixture solvent thereof from leaves, fruits, barks, or roots of Sumac. The H1N1 influenza virus is A/PR/8(H1N1), A/WSN/33(H1N1), A/Bervig-Mission/1/18(rvH1N1), or A/Singapore/6/86(H1N1). The composition is manufactured in the form of filter coating agent, hand wash, disinfection cleansing agent, shower foam, wet tissue, mask, or perfume.
