PURPOSE: A method for discriminating standard capacity refueling based on a point of time of refueling lamp on is provided to minimize the loss damage of drivers by recognizing an indicator for discriminating standard capacity refueling without additional sensors.;CONSTITUTION: A method for discriminating standard capacity refueling based on a point of time of refueling lamp on is composed as follows. The lighting of a primary fuel gauge lamp is detected through an OBD-II device of a vehicle. Since the lighting of the primary fuel gauge lamp detected, fuel consumption quantity for driving is measured by using an engine control module(ECM). After the primary fuel gauge lamp is detected, initial refueling timing is checked. The fuel consumption(a) generated from the lighting of the primary fuel gauge lamp to the initial refueling timing is checked and saved. The same processes are continuously performed.
