TOOTHPASTE COMPOSITION COMPRISING INDIGO SUPERCRITICAL EXTRACT AS EFFECTIVE COMPONENT AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A toothpaste composition containing supercritical extract of Indigofera tinctoria and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to suppress dental cavities and to ensure strong antibacterial effect against bacteria causing periodontal diseases. CONSTITUTION: A toothpaste composition contains: 5 parts by weight of supercritical extract of Indigofera tinctoria which is prepared by extracting pulverized Indigofera tinctoria using a supercritical carbon dioxide extractor at 300 bar and 50 Deg. C. for 2 hours; 55 parts by weight of calcium carbonate as an abrasive; 2 parts by weight of sodium lauryl sulfate as a foaming agent; 30 parts by weight of propylene glycol as a wetting agent; 2 parts by weight of carboxymethyl cellulose as a binder; 0.5 parts by weight of stevioside as a sweetener; 0.5 parts by weight of sodium fluoride as an anti-cavity agent; and 5 parts by weight of butyl benzoate as a preservative.
