PURPOSE: A chemical dosage optimizing system with the turbidity measurement of inflow feed water and filtered water is provided to optimize the dosage of coagulant corresponding to the rapid change of water quality. CONSTITUTION: A method for adjusting the dosage of coagulant in a water treatment process includes the following steps: the expected turbidity of inflow feed water is divided by regions; the flux and the turbidity of the inflow feed water to set the primary dosage of coagulant according to the injection concentration of the coagulant which corresponds to the measured turbidity of the inflow feed water; and the coagulant injection process and the turbidity measuring process are repeated to optimize the dosage of the coagulant.
