FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, neonatology, pediatrics, children's neurology. In order to predict formation of vegetative nervous system (VNS) disorders in children of early age after cerebral ischemia in the neonatal period, the most informative parameters are identified and prognostic index S as the sum of said parameters in points: 8=P1+P2+P3-0.5×P4+0.6×P5+P6+P7+P8+P9+P10+0.4, where P1 is mother's high education=+0.4; P2 - miscarriages, medical abortions in anamnesis =-1.5; P3 - inflammatory diseases of genital organs =-0.5; P4 is mark by Algar scale at the first minute; P5 is mark by Algar scale at the fifth minute; P6 is hypoxia = -0.9; P7 is beginning of breast feeding in labour ward =+4.6; P8 is presence of motor disorders; P9 is presence of hypertension-hydrocephalic syndrome =-0.7; P10 - is normal pattern of neurosonography =+0.5. If obtained value of S is lower than 0, high probability of development in child of vegetative nervous system disorders in period of early childhood, and if S is higher than 0, conclusion about absence of risk of development of vegetative nervous system disorders is made.;EFFECT: method ensures increase of self-descriptiveness of prediction of said disorders with separation of children into the group of respective risk.;2 ex, 1 tbl
