1. A power management method in a mobile station, comprising the steps of:! Executing applications including signal processing applications; ! enter sleep mode in response to predetermined criteria; ! monitor at least one of the signals, commands, input data and environmental changes during sleep mode; and! carry out an awakening that responds to the aforementioned stage of monitoring at least one of the signals, commands, input data and changes in the environment. ! 2. The method of power management in a mobile station according to claim 1, wherein said monitoring step comprises the step of monitoring using a low-power processor. ! 3. The method of power management in a mobile station according to claim 2, further comprising the step of storing at least one of the input data, signals and commands in memory for subsequent processing by the main processor. ! 4. The method of power management in a mobile station according to claim 1, further comprising the step of waking up in response to said step of monitoring at least one of the input data, signals and commands received at the mobile station exceeding a threshold. ! 5. The method of power management in a mobile station according to claim 1, wherein said monitoring step comprises the step of sensing environmental changes. ! 6. The method of power management in a mobile station according to claim 5, in which the change in the environment contains at least one of motion, temperature, direction, acceleration, magnetic field and light. ! 7.
