FIELD: oil and gas industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to refining method of heavy vacuum residue and vacuum gas oil when raw material of vacuum residue is subjected to refining of heavy crude oil at first. The method includes vacuum segregation of output flow of the above refining in order to receive flow of heavy vacuum gasoil (HVGO), at that HVGO flow consists of content which more than 90% by mass boils within temperature range of 449-566°C and its part is recycled then back to the stage of heavy oil refining; light vacuum gasoil (LVGO) which content boils more than 90-100% by mass at temperature less than 538°C; medium vacuum gas oil (MVGO) that boils within the range between LVGO and HVGO; and the product in the form of vacuum residue, treatment of vacuum gasoil (VGO) when at least a part of the above LVGO and/or MVGO are subject to hydrofining.;EFFECT: higher selectivity for output of diesel fuel.;3 cl, 1 dwg, 3 tbl, 1 ex
