1. A lens to prevent or slow the development of myopia, containing:! the optical part having a region of central vision and a peripheral region, and extending from the center of the lens outward to its outer periphery, and! the bearing part connected to the outer periphery of the optical part through its transition zone and extending from the outer periphery of the optical part outward to its outer periphery, the lens having a distribution of optical power providing axial and off-axis myopic defocusing to reduce or offset axial and off-axis defocusing created by optical the eye system of the patient wearing the lenses, the axial and off-axis defocusing provided by said distribution being created by increasing positive (positive) optical power for light rays passing through the region of central vision and the peripheral region of the optical part. ! 2. The lens according to claim 1, in which the distribution of the optical power is described by a composite mathematical function, including at least the first and second error functions. ! 3. The lens according to claim 1, in which the increment of the positive optical power for light rays passing through the region of the central vision of the optical part is smaller than the increment of the positive optical power for light rays passing through the peripheral region of the optical part. ! 4.
