FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: method of cultivating Phaffia rhodozyma yeasts to obtain axanthin-containing forage additive includes preparation of yeasts culture on solid agarised medium, growth of inoculum on rocker in flasks. Inoculum is transferred on basic nutritional medium, which contains growth factor, salts of ammonium, magnesium, sodium, potassium phosphate. Growing yeasts culture on agarised medium, inoculation and fermentation medium is carried out with cyclic illumination, where cycle time constitutes 2-5 h and illumination time for one cycle constitutes 3-10 min. Source of carbohydrates in medium is represented by starch ferment lysate from substandard grain in amount 5-8% by glucose, obtained by crushing substandard grain by hydro-mechanoacoustic method with further separation into fractions and two-step fermentolysis of separated starch fraction. As growth factor used is corn extract in amount 5-8%. Cultivatin is performed in photobioreactor with internal light supply.;EFFECT: obtaining yeasts biomass with content of raw protein to 58,3%, axanthin - to 55,2 mg/l.;4 ex
