FIELD: mining.;SUBSTANCE: system includes water pipeline for irrigation and dust control with connection pipes to sections of the support, automatic temperature, flow and relative humidity monitoring instruments of the air supplied for ventilation, and control microprocessor, as well as booster of pressure by 4.0±0.2 MPa with supply up to 340 cm3/s, which is connected to the column of irrigation system, measuring instrument of relative air humidity at the mining face outlet, and group of atomisers with nozzles with diameter of 1.2±0.1 mm. Atomisers are located in pairs at the roof of the mine working and distributed throughout the length of mining face, with their subsequent operation from microprocessor for air moistening before and/or after the mining face combine depending on its movement direction along the face. At that, dispersed water jets from atomisers are directed opposite to air flow to methane zones: mining face and/or worked-out area, and their initial parts are closed for safety purpose with protective screen protruding in front of nozzles of atomisers through the value exceeding the distance from nozzle to the beginning of jet disintegration by 1.5-1.8 times and comprising 105-126 mm.;EFFECT: increasing safety level of explosibility of methane-air mixture in complex mechanised mining faces of coal mines.;2 cl, 6 dwg
