FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine part machining, particularly, to electromechanical machining. Part surface is upset to make grooves thereon and to level upset grooves. Leveling is performed on heating part surface layer by electric current flowing through zone of contact between leveling tool and part and by mechanical effects caused by said tool. Note here that said grooves are annular with pitch of 0.5-2 mm to make labyrinth seal.;EFFECT: joint surface reconditioning and hardening.;1 dwg
